  • 45,000 Bonus Miles after spending $3,000 on the card within the first three months.
  • The annual fee is waived for the first year.
  • The card is available either a consumer or business card. I see no reason why you can't get both for 90,000 miles.
  • Hurry. Offer expires December 20, 2010.
  • This is by far the best offer I have ever seen for this card.

I fixed the link. I blame putting the wrong link for this offer on a Senior Moment. It's nice to have that excuse now for doing stuff I have always done.

I followed the link in your post and it says only 35000 miles AND the fine print/footnotes don't even explain/match the 35000 properly:

Receive up to 35,000 bonus miles

* 25,000 bonus miles with your first purchase.(1)
* 10,000 additional bonus miles after you make $1,000 in purchases within your first 3 months of becoming a Cardmember.(2)

Footnotes:
1 20,000 bonus miles will be awarded after your first purchase on the Gold Delta SkyMiles Credit Card. Please allow 2-4 weeks after your first purchase for the bonus miles to appear in your Delta SkyMiles account. First purchase offer expires one year from time of Card account opening. You may be permitted to have more than one Delta SkyMiles Credit Card account; however, you are eligible to receive bonus miles for only one Card account. Offer not available to existing Delta SkyMiles Credit Cardmembers upgrading to another Delta SkyMiles Credit Card. Additional Cardmembers are not eligible.
2 2,500 bonus miles will be awarded to your Delta SkyMiles account for each approved Additional Card submitted with this application, up to a maximum of 5,000 bonus miles. Bonus miles will be posted to your account 2-4 weeks after each Card application is approved.

Got my Delta card a few days ago, thanks. I am grateful I saw the offer here since I wouldn't have known about it otherwise. I applied as soon as I read the initial post, crazed to get 45,000 miles, but now it seems it'll only be 35,000 - still good, what with no fee for the first year. Not crazy about Delta so won't renew with the high annual fee.

You should call Amex and reference the Web link to the offer, which clearly states 45,000 miles.

No reason to accept 10,000 fewer miles!

Thanks for the tip, Tim. I did call and I am set up to get the 45,000 miles. The promo code is S137:0002, which matches the code shown on the linked page. I feel much better now! :D
