Humor, the Sequel
============================
The week after Labor Day is traditionally a slow one news-wise. Because this is a thin Crier, we brought back (at least for this issue) the FrequentFlier Funnies section. We've received many requests to revive the Funnies since it fell victim to mileage-news bloat, and it's refreshing to inject a little humor alongside the how-to-earn-miles content.
Enjoy.

AA-TWA: Re-Revisited
===========================
In last week's issue (http://frequentflier.com/ffc-082901.htm), we reported that as of Sept 1, Aviators members can transfer miles to their AAdvantage accounts whenever they choose -- rather than waiting until Nov. 30, when any remaining Aviators miles will be auto-transferred.
What we should have stressed was that you MUST match your AAdvantage and Aviators accounts before making the transfer.
Follow the directions on AA.com, or call 1-800-882-8880.
[Thanks to Bill for pointing out the omission.]

By the Seat of Your Pants
====================================
[Thanks to Reggie for the following bit of airline humor...]
A plane was taking off from Kennedy Airport. After it reached a comfortable cruising altitude, the captain made an announcement over the intercom, "Ladies and gentlemen, this is your captain speaking. Welcome to Flight Number 293, nonstop from New York to Los Angeles. The weather ahead is good and, therefore, we should have a smooth and uneventful flight. Now, sit back and relax - OH, MY GOD!"
Silence followed and after a few minutes, the captain came back on the intercom and said, "Ladies and Gentlemen, I am so sorry if I scared you earlier; but while I was talking, the flight attendant brought me a cup of coffee and spilled the hot coffee in my lap. You should see the front of my pants!" A passenger in Coach said, "That's nothing. He should see the back of mine!"
Until next week...
