Between November 1, 2012, and February 7, 2013, Wyndham Rewards members can earn a 1,000-point bonus for every qualifying stay at a U.S. or Canadian Baymont Inn & Suites, Days Inn, Dream, Hawthorn Suites, Howard Johnson, Knights Inn, Microtel Inn & Suites, Night, Ramada, Super 8, Travelodge (U.S. only), Tryp, Wingate, or Wyndham hotel. Bookings must be completed by January 31.
The promotion’s fine print makes reference to “certain hotels” participating in the promotion, implying that a significant number of hotels are not participating. But there’s no list of non-participating properties, so you’ll have to confirm that your stay does indeed qualify before booking on the strength of this offer.
Deal or No Deal
Except at Hawthorn Suites, Wyndham Rewards members normally earn 10 points per $1 spent. So a $100 single-night stay would net 1,000 points, and the 1,000-extra points would amount to a 100 percent bonus. For longer, more expensive stays, the bonus decreases in percentage terms.
As incentives go, this one falls on the half-hearted end of the spectrum.
If bonuses are a priority, there are many current hotel promotions that put this one to shame.
