Got Membership Rewards points? Need miles (or Avios as they’re now called) in British Airways’ Executive Club program?

Check this out.

Offer Details

Through September 27, American Express Membership Rewards members will receive a 40 percent bonus when transferring their points into Executive Club miles. So, for every 1,000 Membership Rewards points transferred, you’ll net 1,400 Avios rather than the 1,000 you’d normally receive. There’s no limit to the number of points that may be transferred.

Deal or No Deal

This promotion is somewhat less generous than previous 50 percent transfer bonuses, but it’s a hefty premium nevertheless.

he more serious caveat here, as with any Executive Club-related offer, is the program’s eye-popping fuel surcharges on some award tickets.

Still, there are good award values to be found with Executive Club, and with the recent lucrative offers for the British Airways credit card, there are undoubtedly many Americans who are newly vested in the program and looking for ways to maximize the value of their participation. These transfer bonuses fit the bill.
