Marriott is reprising the previous MegaBonus offer, which ended last month, but with a change of name.
Instead of calling it a MegaBonus, the new promotion has been dubbed Unexpected Bonus. That in spite of the fact that it’s anything but unexpected.
Between May 15 and September 2, Marriott Rewards members can earn a free night at a Category 1 – 4 hotel after the second paid stay, up to three free nights after six stays.
Registration is required, by July 31.
Note: This is the base offer. As in past promotions, program members may receive different offers based on their Marriott stay history. Historically, Marriott has allowed members to change from a targeted offer to the generic offer, on a request basis. So if you receive an alternative offer and would prefer the generic bonus, contact Marriott’s customer service and ask to be switched.
Deal or No Deal
Expected or not, and by whatever name, this remains one of the hotel industry’s best loyalty-program bonuses.
At press time, there’s no more compelling offer for spring and summer hotel stays.
