Note that the bonus is only for stays at Wyndham-branded properties, and does not cover the lower price-point hotels in the Wyndham Rewards network (Ramada, Days Inn, Howard Johnson, Super 8, and so on).

Deal or No Deal
Wyndham Rewards normally awards 10 points for every $1 spent. So a one-night $150 stay would earn 1,500 points. In that scenario, adding the 5,000-point bonus for a total of 6,500 points would amount to a 333 percent increase. Pretty substantial.
On the other hand, for a stay costing $500 and normally awarding 5,000 points, the bonus would simply double the total.
Bottom line: The promotion can deliver solid value for cheaper stays. For longer, pricier stays, there may be more lucrative offers among the current hotel promotions.
