A free night. A $50 gift card. 8,000 points.
Choice has featured all the above in the headlines for its recent bonus offers.
In fact, aside from the headlines, it’s really the same promotion. Luckily, it’s a good one.
Between September 5 and November 13, Choice Privileges members can earn 8,000 points after two qualifying stays.
That means that Choice adds as many points as it takes to bring the total up to 8,000 points after the qualifying stays.
What’s so special about 8,000 points? Most importantly, it’s enough to redeem for a free night at one of 1,500 lower-priced hotels in the Choice network. Or for a $50 gift card.
Mind the definitions of “stay.” For Comfort Inn, Comfort Suites, Quality, Sleep Inn, Clarion, Cambria Suites, or Ascend Collection hotels, a stay is defined as any number of consecutive nights at one hotel regardless of check-ins or check-outs. For Econo Lodge, Rodeway Inn, Suburban Extended Stay Hotel, or MainStay Suites hotels, a stay is defined as two or more consecutive nights at one hotel.
Qualifying stays must be booked at ChoiceHotels.com or by calling 1-800-4CHOICE, although corporate travelers may book through a travel agent or corporate booking system.
Choice Privileges Diamond and Platinum members who register and book through ChoiceHotels.com will receive an additional 100 Choice Privileges bonus points with every qualified stay during the promotional period.
Registration is required.
Deal or No Deal
Earning enough points for a free night after two stays, even at a lower-end hotel, is potentially a high-value offer, especially if the qualifying stays are single nights at lower-priced properties.
Once again, Choice’s is one of the more lucrative of the current hotel offers. Rather than reprise the same offer hidden behind different headlines, Choice would be smart to brand the promotion, as Marriott has done with its recurring MegaBonus offer, and capitalize on its strengths.
