Earning frequent flyer miles for purchasing flowers always offers among the highest miles-to-dollars payouts.

And around key holidays (Valentine’s Day, Christmas, Mother’s Day), the major online florists typically ratchet up the bonuses on offer through travel rewards programs.

With Mother’s Day less than two weeks away — it’s May 13, in case you’d forgotten — you can expect to earn 30 miles per $1 spent on flowers and other gifts, and in some cases more.

Here are the best deals currently on offer:

Alaska Mileage Plan

The best you can do through Mileage Plan is a lackluster 10 miles per $1 spent at FTD and teleflora.

If you’re an Alaska Air partisan, it might be worth checking back later — there could be better deals in the pipeline.

American AAdvantage

AAdvantage members can earn 30 miles per $1 at either 1800FLOWERS or FTD.

Delta SkyMiles

The best deal from Delta is from 1800FLOWERS: 35 miles per $1 spent.

Another contender is FTD, which is offering 1,500 bonus miles per order. For a $30 gift, that would be 50 miles per $1.

Frontier EarlyReturns

EarlyReturns members can earn 1,000 miles for every FTD purchase of $29.99 or more.

JetBlue TrueBlue

TrueBlue members can earn 20 points per $1 at FTD.

Southwest Rapid Rewards

Rapid Rewards members can earn 1,000 points on teleflora orders of $29.99 or more.

United MileagePlus

MileagePlus members can earn 30 miles per $1 spent at FTD.

US Airways Dividend Miles

Members of US Airways’ program can earn 25 miles per $1 spent at FTD, teleflora, or 1800FLOWERS.
