Last week, Delta bulled its way onto Alaska Airlines turf, with a double-mile promotion for flights between Seattle and Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Las Vegas.
Alaska’s response? Match the Delta offer, and raise the ante.
Between October 22, 2013, and May 31, 2014, Mileage Plan members can earn double award miles and double elite-qualifying miles on Alaska Airlines flights between Seattle and Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Oakland, San Francisco, San Jose, and Santa Rosa.
Registration is required.
Deal or No Deal
Compared to Delta’s offer, Alaska’s features more routes, a longer usable promotion period, and both award and elite-qualifying miles.
If you’re airline-agnostic and plan trips on any of the targeted routes, Alaska’s promotion gives it a clear advantage over Delta.
